The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) announced on Mar. 10 that all camping areas on Oʻahu, Maui, and Molokaʻi are closed because of severe weather conditions expected to last through at least Sunday, March 15.

This closure is in response to warnings from the National Weather Service about significant storm impacts, particularly on Friday and Saturday. The DLNR said it is asking for public cooperation with all area closure announcements. People are advised to avoid forested and coastal regions due to risks such as rising streams, flash flooding, falling trees, storm surge, or high surf.
