The Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA) Commissioner of Securities, Ty Y. Nohara, has issued a preliminary order directing Teapresso Bar LLC to cease and desist from activities that allegedly violate state franchise laws.

According to the DCCA, the action involves a Notice of Right to Request a Hearing, which allows Teapresso Bar LLC the opportunity to respond to the allegations through an official process.

“COMMISSIONER OF SECURITIES ORDERS CEASE AND DESIST AGAINST TEAPRESSO BAR LLC,” stated the department in its release.

The order follows an investigation into Teapresso’s franchising activities within Hawaii. The Commissioner’s office alleges that Teapresso Bar LLC failed to comply with state regulations governing franchise operations.

Teapresso Bar LLC now has the right to request a hearing regarding the order and notice.
