The Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT) is urging small businesses in Hawaii to participate in the Federal Reserve’s 2025 Small Business Credit Survey. The survey is open until November 14 and aims to collect information about how small businesses access financing and the challenges they encounter.
According to DBEDT, the survey results help inform the Federal Reserve, federal agencies, policymakers, and service providers as they develop programs and policies affecting business access to capital. Last year, input from Hawaii’s small businesses was included in national reports examining lending trends and financial health after natural disasters.
The survey takes approximately 12 minutes to complete. It is available to for-profit businesses with fewer than 500 employees—including those currently operating, recently closed, or preparing to launch. All responses are confidential and do not require personal information.
Dennis Ling, administrator of DBEDT’s Business Development and Support Division, stated: “We strongly encourage Hawai‘i’s small business leaders to participate in this vital survey. Your insights play a critical role in guiding federal agencies and service providers. By sharing your experiences, you help shape policies and decisions that expand access to financing and create stronger opportunities for businesses throughout Hawai‘i.”
Businesses can complete the survey online at fedreserveboard.gov1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_28XYEIGb3d94Mfk?orgid=HawaiiDeptofBiz.
DBEDT serves as Hawaii’s resource center for economic data, business development opportunities, energy conservation information, and foreign trade advantages. The department works toward fostering a globally competitive economy by supporting innovation-sector job growth and planned community development while also promoting affordable workforce housing.
