Ignacio “Rusty” Eclipse, 89, Hilo died Apr. 4 at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Kukaiau, Laupahoehoe, he was a retired tour bus driver for the former Arquero’s U-Drive Taxi and Tours, Laupahoehoe Transit, Jacks Tours and a member of the Kilauea Hawaii Pidgin Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Ayako Eclipse and son-in-law, Timothy Shigemi. Survived by daughters, Sherelyn (Oly) Eclipse-Ujano of Hilo, Terry-Lee Shigemi of Mountain View; grandchildren, Jen (Mariko) Shigemi, Stefanie (Bryson) Ujano-Silva, Isaac Shigemi, Tia Shigemi, Luke Eclipse-Ujano; great-grandchildren, Kylia Silva, Kaeden Silva; cousin, Thomas Ynigues of Oahu; sister-in-law, Yaeko Kitagawa of Hilo; numerous nieces, nephews and hanai families.
