Kukuau Studio has announced a Songwriter’s Immersive Weekend, designed for songwriters and musicians of all levels to refine their craft and collaborate in a creative environment. The workshop will feature industry experts providing in-depth guidance on various aspects of songwriting.

According to the event webpage provided by Eventbrite, over two days, attendees will delve into the creative, technical, legal, and commercial facets of music-making. Each day begins at noon with structured sessions led by industry experts, including Bub Pratt, Jaslyn Loftin, Tom Mohbat, and Conroy Harding. Participants will engage in songwriting feedback, co-writing exercises, business basics, and home recording. The event will culminate in an attendee open mic from 6-9 PM where only participants perform while the public is welcome to watch.

The workshop features modules on songwriting feedback, business basics, and home recording, followed by an open mic hosted by KT Sunshine. The next day includes one-on-one mentorship opportunities, co-writing sessions, recording feedback, and a workshop on copyright basics. The final showcase hosted by Waffles Gibbs will highlight the participants’ creations, offering a platform for attendees to present their work to the public.

Kukuau Studio is a community-focused space providing music instruction and serving as a performance venue. It also offers theater and music lessons alongside full audio recording services and creative project management.

According to the Kukuau Studio webpage, recording and mixing services are offered at $100 per hour with a chance to be featured on the next studio compilation record. For private parties, rates begin at $125 per hour covering the use of the PA system and two microphones for a minimum of three hours. This price includes setup and teardown time with music concluding by 9 PM. Additional instruments or equipment such as projectors, pianos or recording gear are available for an extra $50 each.
