Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey has bought a stylish brand new $7.8 million residential property on Kailua-Kona, according to realtor.com.

According to the listing, The Kaupulehu Residence is a 7,089-square-foot home designed by Kona architect Paul Bleck and “infuses modern luxuries with timeless Kukio barefoot elegance.”

The six-bedroom and six-and-a-half-bathroom residence features a broad range of luxurious amenities including a wine cellar, media room, bocce court, two primary suites, two swimming pools, two outdoor fire pits, and indoor and outdoor kitchens.

Top class finishes include hand-carved limestone, Italian Calcutta marble, quartzite counters and antiqued La Paz stone flooring and features extensive woodwork such as Kona-built teak cabinets, custom-made over-sized cedar sliding doors, lanai cedar ceilings and wide-plank European rift-cut oak flooring.

The lavish home is part of the exclusive Kukio Beach and Golf Club gated community located near the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai and Kona Village–Rosewood Resort.
