The University of Hawaii at Hilo men's basketball team is bouncing back and has earned its second straight win after losing four games in California and one at its home court.

The UH Hilo Vulcans won over the Chaminade University Silverswords during its Feb. 9 game in the McCabe Gymnasium.

"Our guys found a way to win," Head Coach Kaniela Aiona said, according to The Official Athletics Site of Hawaii at Hilo. "Chaminade's a really good team, and I'm proud of how our guys played together. All 11 got in there and gave something tonight."

The 75-68 final score brought the Vulcans to a 12-9 overall standing and 8-6 in the PacWest Conference, according to The Official Athletics Site of Hawaii at Hilo.

The score was tied up twice in the first 14 minutes of the first half, but despite Chaminade’s effort to trim the Vulcans' 14-point lead in the next half, but they got away with the seven-point victory.

The Vulcans faced the Academy of Art University yesterday, where they suffered a tough loss, 48-81. The team is hoping things will look up for their next few match-ups: Holy Names University, Fresno Pacific University, Dominican University and then back to Chaminade to finish off the month.
