Man charged with firearms, drug offenses after standoff in Pahoa
Hawaii Island police have issued a formal announcement regarding the charges against a 47-year-old man from Pahoa, following an intense and prolonged standoff that took place earlier this week. The suspect, Jameel Comier, was involved in an eight-hour-long deadlock with the authorities.
One arrested and charged following attack on 71-year-old Hilo man
A 32-year-old Hilo man was arrested and charged with assault and additional charges following an attack that sent a 71-year-old to a local medical center. "One arrested and charged following attack on 71-year-old Hilo man", said the statement.
