Hawaii Police Department issued the following announcement on Nov. 29.
Hawaii Police Department reports Highway 190 is closed in both directions between the 6th mile marker (Old Saddle Road) and the 11th mile marker (Waikoloa Road) due to a brush fire.
Please avoid the area as there is smoke and fire crews on the roadway.
