Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency issued the following announcement on Dec. 12.
The economic and social burden of the pandemic this year has been felt across the County of Hawaii.
Majority families faced unemployment and financial deficit, leaving many hungry.
The food service industry also took a hit, with the absence of regular patrons and tourists.In order to alleviate the burden within the community, Hawaii CARES saw the solution to put $3 million+ of grant money back into economy.
