A total of $877,457 was donated to 32 charities in Hawaii, Gua and Saipan by bank employees at First Hawaiian Bank.

The donations were a part of the annual Kōkua Mai campaign that the bank hosts, Maui Now reported.

Employees are able to donate money to the causes that mean something to them. Since 2007, more than $9.5 million has been donated through the annual campaign.

“This year, our Kōkua Mai Campaign was a tremendous success. Not only did our team members step up to donate, but they went above and beyond our expectations. They truly demonstrated that the bank’s culture of caring is at the core of who we are as they selflessly donated to nonprofits that are helping to meet the needs of our community as the pandemic continues to affect us all,” Bob Harrison, First Hawaiian Bank chairman, president and chief executive officer, told Maui Now. “I am very proud of our ohana and their dedication to strengthening our communities.”
