Census Bureau: More women than men in Waimea in 2019

Of the 11,908 people living in Waimea in 2019, 55.1 percent (6,559) were women and 44.9 percent (5,349) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Big Island Times.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 3,763-to-2,939. In the 65 and over age range, there were 1,076 females and 980 males.
