Census Bureau: More women than men in Puako in 2019

Of the 908 people living in Puako in 2019, 54.2 percent (492) were women and 45.8 percent (416) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Big Island Times.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 248-to-202. In the 65 and over age range, there were 198 females and 187 males.
