Census Bureau: More women than men in Papaikou in 2019

Of the 971 people living in Papaikou in 2019, 54.3 percent (527) were women and 45.7 percent (444) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Big Island Times.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 310-to-182. In the 65 and over age range, there were 90 females and 102 males.
