Census Bureau: More women than men in Pahala in 2019

Of the 1,827 people living in Pahala in 2019, 51 percent (932) were women and 49 percent (895) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Big Island Times.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 592-to-449. In the 65 and over age range, there were 170 females and 83 males.
