Census Bureau: More women than men in Kurtistown in 2019

Of the 1,199 people living in Kurtistown in 2019, 51.5 percent (618) were women and 48.5 percent (581) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Big Island Times.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 421-to-366. In the 65 and over age range, there were 90 females and 135 males.
