Census Bureau: More men than women in Kealakekua in 2019

Of the 1,923 people living in Kealakekua in 2019, 47.1 percent (906) were women and 52.9 percent (1,017) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Big Island Times.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 548-to-519. In the 65 and over age range, there were 249 females and 256 males.
