Census Bureau: More men than women in Hawi in 2019

Of the 1,166 people living in Hawi in 2019, 47.2 percent (550) were women and 52.8 percent (616) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Big Island Times.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 370-to-309. In the 65 and over age range, there were 193 females and 122 males.
