Miranda's Farms is a family-run coffee business with a winning reputation on the Big Island.

Ever since the Miranda family established their first farm in 2006, the business has continued to grow.

Jose and Berta Miranda and their four children -- Maria, Ana, Carlos, and Gabriel -- are the family behind the farm's operation, and they attribute their success to their faith in God.

They started out with a 10-acre coffee plantation in Pahala, Moaula Cloud Rest. This location offers the preferred elevation and sun exposure for the award-winning brew.

The farm is home to four different coffee varieties: typica, caturra, catuai and geisha.

The family decided to begin competing in 2013, when they placed top-ten in two divisions and became part of the Ka’u Coffee Mill Wall of Fame. In 2017, Miranda's Farms took first in both the District of Ka’u and first statewide for the Commercial Division.

Most recently in 2021, Miranda's scored 93 in the Coffee Review for their yellow caturra variety of arabica.

Miranda Farms now owns 22 acres in Kiolaka‘a-Kea'a Homesteads, South Point and its home to a storefront that opened its doors in March of 2020. They are located at 93-7136 Mamalahoa Highway in Naalehu.

The business is also recognized for its partnership with Islander Hawaiian Coffee, where they developed a patented drip bag that has since reached as far as the Asian market.

The brand also has several locations in Hawaii, two in Taiwan and is available at Starbucks reserve locations, including in the United States, Japan and Italy.
