Petelo “Lo” Fine Finau, 38, of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, died July 10, 2021, at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Tongatapu, Tonga on September 7, 1982, he was a stone mason, a heavy equipment operator and a member of Kona Christian Church.
Visitation and viewing will be held at 9 a.m. July 22, 2021, at Dodo Mortuary Hilo chapel at 199 Wainaku St., Hilo, 96720. Tongan funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Mask-wearing and social distancing adheres to County of Hawaii mandates. A celebration of life will be held at a future date. The family requests casual attire.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Finau of Kailua-Kona; loving dog, "Elsa"; mother, Kelela Finau of Tonga; brothers, Sione Hafoka (Jericha Kailimai) Finau, children Sione Manaia Kailimai Finau and Ilaisa Kailimai Finau of Kailua-Kona, Tuai Kimoana (Sharon Sonia Tapaita Lepolo) Finau and children, Kelela Finau, Lolomanaia Finau, Samisoni 'Ata 'ata Finau, Petelo Fine Finau of Tonga, Sitani ('Ailine 'Unaloto No Muli) Finau and son Sione Finau of New Zealand, Loketi (Salote Pasimati) Finau and children, 'Emeline and Mele Vaiola Finau of Kailua-Kona; sisters, 'Emeline (Fe’iloakiTohi me muli) Finau Tu'uta and Ilaisaane Lepolo Tu’uta of Tonga, Letisia Lotomou'a Finau and Na’ati Mo'onia Finau of Tonga; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Lolomanaia Finau and sister, Iva 'Etuate Malie Finau.
