Jerry Allen “The Patele Man” Fernandez, 78, of Hilo, HI, died at the Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center on Tuesday, July 13, 2021. He was born in Honolulu, HI and was a tow truck driver & owner of Jerry's Towing. He was also an avid drag car racer and the owner of Mad Mad 8.
Friends may call at the Mohouli Park Pavilion on Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM for a Celebration of Life Gathering. Face masks required. The family requests casual attire and no flowers.
He is survived by his: Wife, Miriam "Mimi" Fernandez of Hilo, HI; Sons, Michael Fernandez of Honolulu, HI and Jerry "Bulla" Fernandez of Hilo, HI; Daughters, Pearline (DJ) Llanes of Milolii, HI, Cynthia Baeza of Milolii, HI, Charmane Fernandez of Honolulu, HI, Kathy (James) Oliveira of Hilo, HI and Jennifer (Sean Coffelt) Spencer of Hilo, HI; Brothers, James (Kathy) Fernandez of Hilo, HI and Bobby (Marleen) Fernandez of Hilo, HI; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
