Bliss Kazumi Nakayama, 61, of Hilo, died August 20, 2021, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born September 21, 1959, in Hilo, he was a sales consultant for Big Island Toyota, had also worked at KTA Super Stores Puainako, the former Sure Save Keaau and Hilo Audio, lifetime musician, Christian, founding member of The Red Table and member of Hawaii Taishin Kyokai.
Public visitation from 4:30-6:00 p.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo; private service to follow. Casual attire. Face masks and social distancing required.
Survived by wife, Sung Ja Nakayama of Hilo; mother, Miyoko Nakayama of Hilo; brother, Peter (Pat Blake) Nakayama of Hilo; sisters, Ellen (George) Mabuni of California, Doris (Gary) Iwaoka of Hilo, Naomi (Melvin) Matsumoto of Honolulu; mother-in-law, Chun Soon Um of South Korea; sisters-in-law, Yuko Nakayama of Hilo, Chun Cha “Tina” (Blake Kimura) Park of Honolulu; brothers-in-law, Moon Sung Park and Yung Sung Park of South Korea; numerous nieces and nephews.
