Margaret Mikiyo Yamamoto, 92, of Hilo, HI, died at the Hilo Medical Center on Friday, September 17, 2021. She was born in Hilo, HI and was a retired office clerk with the former Hawaii Grocers. She was also a member of the Hilo Meishion Mission and Fujinkai and the Waiakea Pirates.
Friends may call at the Dodo Mortuary chapel on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, where a Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 PM. Friends may also call at the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery #2 Pavilion on Thursday, September 30, 2021 where a committal service will be held at 12 Noon. Limited seating, face masks and social distancing required. The family requests casual attire.
She is survived by her: Sons, Jerel Yamamoto of Hilo, HI and Bert Yamamoto of Honolulu, HI; Brothers, Richard (Janice) Kawano of Hilo, HI and James Kawano of Hilo, HI; Sisters, Violet Tokushima of Honolulu, HI and Ellen Kawano of Hilo, HI; Sister-in-law, Mildred Kawano of Gardena, CA; cousins, nieces and nephews.
