Elena “Maria” Corpuz Lopez, 93, of Pahoa, died on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Hilo Medical Center. She was born on April 26, 1928 in Luna, La Union, Philippines. She was a retired nursery worker for Puna Certified Nursery and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. on Friday (Oct. 15, 2021) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Hilo; Prayer Service at 6 p.m. A Graveside Committal Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday (Oct. 16, 2021) at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima Section. Casual attire.
Survived by, sons, Gregorio (Cresilda) Lopez of the Philippines, Nicolas (Carlina) Lopez of Keaau, Alejandro (Celia) Lopez of the Philippines, Marcelino (Lizel) Lopez of Honolulu, Oahu and Juan Lopez, Jr. of Kona; daughters, Dominga Munoz of the Philippines, Catalina Lopez of the Philippines, Alicia Lopez of the Philippines, Lourdes Lopez of the Philippines, Zosima Lopez of the Philippines and Susana (Vernal Carpio) Lopez of Keaau; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
