Every Tuesday between noon and 1 p.m. on Zoom, Toastmasters International invites you to enhance your public speaking skills in a learning experience that's fun and supportive. This nonprofit groups helps its members with communication and leadership through practice in speaking, including prepared and extemporaneous examples. The members actively listen and then give and receive supportive feedback. Guests are welcome.
Each Thursday between 3 and 4 p.m., there is a virtual youth diabetes support group. Is anyone in your home, under the age of 18, struggling with diabetes? At the youth diabetes support group, they provide a safe place, with health care professionals, to share stories and learn about managing diabetes. It is free and available online. On Saturday, Oct. 16, Hala'i Healing Place presents an Introductory Energy Medicine Certification Workshop between 8 a.m and 2 p.m. Come and nurture your inner healer in the beginning-level, two-day class, where you will learn about Eastern philosophies of human energy systems. This class will focus on the main chakra system and how it affects the body's natural healing mechanisms. You will also learn how to align and assess the energy system and its auric field for overall balance and harmony.
To stay within guidelines, class sizes are limited. There will be no additional fee for a private workshop. Online class options are also available via teleconferencing for a one-on-one experience.
