Mr. Lee Enriques, age 85, of Hilo, Hawaii, died September 26, 2021 at his residence in Hilo, Hawaii. He was born in Halaula, North Kohala, Hawaii on December 7, 1935 and retired as a Fire Captain from the County of Hawaii Fire Department. He was the President of NSI-LBE, Inc. and shop manager of Garden Exchange, Ltd. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo, Kaumana 1/2 Mile Kumiai, Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce and was an avid fisherman.
Visitation will be held at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo on October 24, 2021 (Sunday) from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; private wake service will follow. Visitation will continue at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo (43 Kapiolani Street) on October 25, 2021 (Monday) from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.; funeral mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. Cremation will follow. Seating is limited. Face masks and social-distancing required for both days. No flowers.
He is survived by sons, Vernon (Jodi) Enriques of Mililani, Russell (Lisa) Enriques of Hilo and Jeffrey (Tammy) Enriques-Ikeda of Hilo; daughter, Lynne Enriques of Hilo; brother, Donald (Mieko) Enriques of California; sister, Leona Goss of Honolulu; sister-in-law, Pauline Enriques of Pahala; grandchildren, Travis Enriques of Hilo, Kimberly Yonamine of Oahu, Hilary Enriques of Las Vegas, Nevada and Isaiah Enriques of Hilo; two great-grandchildren, Jonah Yonamine of Oahu and Joshua Yonamine of Oahu; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
