Mrs. Priscilla Maile “Dolly” Kahele, age 88, of Hilo, Hawaii, died September 29, 2021 at her residence in Hilo, Hawaii. She was born in Hilo, Hawaii on July 29, 1933 and retired from the State of Hawaii Department of Education as a Custodian at Waiakea High School. She was a member of the Gospel of Salvation Church in Hilo.
Visitation will be held at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo, Hawaii on November 4, 2021 (Thursday) from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.; funeral service will begin at 9:30 a.m. Seating is limited. Face masks and social distancing required. Casual attire is requested. Burial will follow at the East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 in Hilo, Hawaii at 12:00 noon.
She is survived by sons, William Kepaa Kahele of California and Phillip (Gizelle) Kahele of Hilo; sister, Myra (Edward) Boteilho of Kohala; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one hanai son; two hanai granddaughters; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
