William Tehero

Mr. William Tehero, age 85, of Hilo, Hawaii, died October 17, 2021 in Kealakekua, Kona, Hawaii at the Saito Care Home. He was born in Hilo, Hawaii on May 19, 1936 and was retired from Global Associates working as a coordinator in Kwajalein. He also retired from the Honolulu Star-Advertiser where he worked as a newspaper carrier. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force (Airman First Class) and member of the Marine Corps Muster Rolls, 1798-1958 15th Infantry Battalion Mcr., Marine Corps Volunteer Reserve 14th Mcrd, Mb USNB Pearl Harbor Th in San Francisco, California. 

Graveside Committal Service and military funeral honors will take place on November 2, 2021 (Tuesday) at the East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery #2 in Hilo pavilion area at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow. Face masks and social-distancing required. 

He is survived by sons, Firmin (Junie) Tehero of Pepeekeo and William (Mindy) Tehero, Jr. of Keaau; daughters, Terilynn (Terry) Nielson of Hilo and Sheri Rose Pacheco of Hilo; brothers, Jose Tehero of Kauai, Patrick (Faye) Umalla of Honolulu and Daniel (Frances) Mendez of Oahu; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins.
