Alzheimer's Awareness Month activities planned by Tutu's House

Tutu's House has issued the following press release:

During the month of November, Tutu’s House will promote Alzheimer’s disease awareness with two special virtual presentations:

  • The Six Pillars of Brain Health with Maureen Garry on Friday, Nov. 12 at 10 am to 11:30 am. A healthy lifestyle protects the brain. Practice these six pillars to be more. Register here:  https://bit.ly/3jQeNgu
  • 10 Early Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s with Nicholas Los Baños, the Hawaii Island Regional Coordinator of the Alzheimer’s Association– Aloha Chapter, on Friday, November 19 at 10 am to 11:30 am. Explore the most common warning signs of the disease and learn tips on approaching someone about memory concerns. “We are excited to welcome Maureen Garry and Nicholas Los Baños,” says Shawn Saito, Tutu’s House Program Leader. “Both presenters have loved ones diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, and they are passionate about providing people with information to support others living with Alzheimer’s.”
