Nora Leilehua Lacerdo Tavares, 91, of Hilo, Hawaii died on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Hilo Medical Center. She was born on March 31, 1930 in Hilo, Hawaii. She was a retired courier for Kodak and former disc jockey for KIPA, KHLO and KIMO.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday (Nov. 30, 2021) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Hilo; Prayer Service at 10 a.m.; burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima Section. Survived by sons, James (Cynthia) Sanborn and Robert (Elizabeth) Sanborn; daughters, Jean (Richard Miyamoto) Sanborn-Miyamoto, Peggy Lunderman, Hazel (John) Scanlan, Norine (Glen) Hisashima and Stella Tavares; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
