Tuesday, Nov. 30 -- and every Tuesday -- Hilo Toastmasters Club hosts its weekly Zoom meeting between noon and 1 p.m. Improve your public speaking skills through practice speeches, attentive listening, and giving and receiving feedback. On Wednesday, Dec. 1, a Reiki Level II Practitioner Certification workshop will take place at Halai Healing Place, located at 75-5737 Kuakini Highway in Kailua-Kona, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Reiki practitioners who have already completed Level I training are invited to take their practice further and learn about distance healing and mental treatments for anxiety, negative thoughts and trauma.  Registration is required at HalaiHealingPlace.com or by calling 808-987-6010. On Saturday, Dec. 4, and Sunday, Dec. 5, join the 14th Annual Paradise Studio Tour at Hawaiian Paradise Park, Keaau, Puna District, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. both days. The public is invited to view the works of over 20 local artists, including oil painting, watercolors, collage, pastels, acrylic, wood, sculpture, jewelry making, pottery, ceramics, silk painting, fashion art, photography and more. On Sunday, Dec. 5 -- and every Sunday -- between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., be sure to visit the Farmers' Market at Hamakua Harvest at 44-2600 Mamalahoa Highway in Waimea. Shop for locally produced goods while enjoying ono food, live music and a fun atmosphere. The beautiful ocean view and local character provide an ideal gathering place for the whole family.
