On Wednesday, Jan. 5, take a Reiki Level II Practitioner Certification workshop at Halai Healing Place, offered in Kapaau or in Kailua Kona or via teleconferencing. The two-day class is held between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Train to earn Level II certification as a Reiki practitioner. Level I certification and preregistration are required. This workshop will allow you to "give a hands-on mental treatment effective to treat anxiety, stress, obsessive compulsive behaviors, negative thought patterns, past trauma and more," according to HubHawaii. Saturday, Jan. 8, Halai Healing Place is offering Beginning Reiki 'Shoden' Certification between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. "Utilizing the ancient wisdom of Usui Shiki Rhyoho Reiki, you will learn traditional Reiki, a sacred Japanese healing method, for physical, emotional, mental and spiritual balance and well-being," says HubHawaii. The class is offered via teleconferencing and also in the Kailua-Kona and Kapaau locations. This two-day workshop will help you "learn to access the healer within." Preregistration is required.
