Phillip "Phil" Barro

Phillip “Phil” Barro, 89, of Kamuela, HI, and formerly of Naalehu, HI, died at home on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. He was born in Pahala, HI and was a retired equipment maintenance worker with the former Ka'u Agribusiness. He was also a member of the Naalehu Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a Veteran of the US Army and a member of the Naalehu Senior Citizen Center. Visitation 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Naalehu Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday, April 30, 2022, where a Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, followed by burial at the Naalehu Community Cemetery. The family requests casual attire. He is survived by his: Son, Anthony "Masay" Barro of Waiohinu, HI; Daughters, Debbie Gacayan of Henderson, NV and Liane (Willy) Barro-Kilmede of Kamuela, HI; Sister, Carmen (Moses) Pestano of Oahu; Brother, John (Barb) Sentino of Washington; eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews.
