Lillian Juanita Salazar, 82 of Pahoa, died on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at residence, she was born on March 28, 1940 in Koae, Kapoho, Hawaii; she was a loving wife, mom, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to many. She graduated from Pahoa High School in 1958. She then attended and graduated from Wisconsin State Institute of Technology in 1962. She later became an educator at numerous schools but retired at Pahoa High and Intermediate School in 1994. She also was a devoted member of the Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church for many years. Lillian was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all. Services will be held on Friday November 25, 2022 at the Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Prayer Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and Celebration of Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. She is survived by husband, George E. Salazar of Pahoa; sons, Terence (Lucille) Salazar and Conrad (Candi) Salazar of Pahoa, Jason (Jenny) Salazar of Okinawa, Japan; brother, Francisco “Boy” (Jan) Tagalicod of Parma, Ohio; sister, Leilani Kobayashi, Emma Tagalicod, Frances (Solomon) Ka’awaloa and Marcelina (Samuel) Kaho’okaulana of Pahoa, Florence Kawaihae of Fairfield, California, Jane (Howard) Konanui and LoveyMae (Charles Shaffer) Tagalicod of Hawaiian Paradise Park, Hawaii; sisters in-law, Violet Tabonair of Kekaha, Hawaii and Emily (Mark) Watanabe of Hilo; brother in-law, Alfred (Abigail) Bumanglag of Mt.View; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
