Shigeko "Peggy" Hatayama

Shigeko “Peggy” Hatayama, 92, of Mountain View died Nov. 25 at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Mountain View, she was a retired hostess and waitress for the Volcano House Restaurant and a member of the Kurtistown Jodo Mission. Private services held. Family requests no flowers and no koden (monetary gifts). Survived by sons, Howard (Pamela) Hatayama of Oakland, California, Arnold (Soon-Ja) Hatayama of Hilo, Lloyd Hatayama of Mountain View; daughter, Joy (Clifford) Tomosada of Hilo; brother-in-law, Mack Hatayama of Hilo; sisters-in-law, Harriet Kotake of Hilo, Aileen Muramatsu of Kaneohe; six grandchildren, seven great-grand-children, numerous nieces and nephews.
