Edith “Molo” Y. Sakamoto, 95, of Hilo, died March 26, 2023, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Kaunakakai, Molokai, she was a retired registered surgical nurse at the former Hilo Hospital and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin. Private services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by daughters, Sharon (Al Kobayashi) Sakamoto and Claire (Curtis) Hong of Hilo; grandson, Dylan Hong of Hilo; sister-in-law, Grace Sakamoto of Hilo; brother-in-law, Ernest Miwa of Oahu; nieces, nephews and cousins.
