The Volcano Art Center proudly announces the upcoming exhibit "Conversations: Spirit and Nature" opening on Saturday, July 29 and continuing through August 19, 2023 at the Volcano Art Center’s Niaulani Campus (19-4074 Old Volcano Rd.) in Volcano Village. The show is open Wednesday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The exhibit will also be featured online at www.volcanoartcenter.org.
This three-week event features a group exhibition showcasing the art work of Charlene Asato, Lisa-Louise Adams, Roslyn Moresh, Leslie Laird and Robin Scanlon. The group of artists originally began meeting and making books which then lead them to pursue many other forms of expression exploring their relationship to nature through spirit. They derive inspiration from the multi-faceted cultures present in Hawai`i and their love of the ‘aina. The multi-media exhibition held in Dietrich Varez Hall at Hale Ho‘omana at VAC’s Niaulani Campus features original watercolor paintings, collage, handmade books, and quilts.
