Beautiful You MD Aesthetics is hosting an open house throughout the month of September. It's located at the Keauhou Shopping Center Phase II, and the public will have the chance to meet Dr. Ileana Sanchez-Anderson, tour the office and speak to the staff about any questions relating to treatment options, according to a news report.
Beautiful You MD Aesthetics operates as an all-encompassing medspa, according to its website. Its services include acne treatment, body sculpting, microneedling, vascular and hyperpigmentation treatment, laser hair removal, injectables, hyperbaric oxygen treatment and laser facials.
Dr. Sanchez-Anderson was born in Ecuador and relocated to Los Angeles at the age of 12 alongside her family, according to the report. Encouraged by her family's emphasis on academic achievement, she was among a select group of 12 students in Los Angeles who began their college education during the final two years of high school. Her educational journey continued at UCLA, where her passion for medicine flourished.
Sanchez-Anderson was granted a complete medical scholarship in her birthplace of Ecuador on the condition that she provide two years of medical service in rural areas in return. Upon return to the U.S., she completed a four-year residency program in family practice medicine, before moving to Hawaii in 2003 where she worked as a family physician at Kaiser Permanente. In 2005, she opened her own urgent care where she treated many different types of patients, the report said.
In 2019, she temporarily stepped away from her responsibilities at the Urgent Care Center to enhance her knowledge in aesthetics. She studied at the American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine, where she was mentored by Dr. Sharon McQuillan, a globally recognized medical aesthetics specialist and the medical director of Florida's New You Medical Institute, the report noted.
In the spring of 2023, Sanchez-Anderson renovated her old Urgent Care Center into Beautiful You MD aesthetics. They list the equipment they utilize as multiple lasers, advanced body sculpting machines and other leading-edge equipment such as a hard-shell hyperbaric oxygen chamber, according to the report.
Beautiful You also offers a new FDA-approved laser treatment and cure for acne called AviClear, which was unveiled last summer, the website reported. It is the only practice currently offering this treatment in all of West Hawaii.
