Hawaii County Legislative Approvals and Acquisitions Committee will meet April 30.

Notice is Hereby Given that the Hawai‘i County Council will be conducting this meeting via interactive conference technology (ICT) pursuant to Hawai‘i Revised Statutes §92-3.5. Council Members will be participating via ICT at the:

• Hilo Council Chambers, Hawai‘i County Building, 25 Aupuni Street, First Floor, Room 1401 Members of the public may also attend from this location.

Public Attendance via Courtesy Site is available at the following locations:

• Old Kohala Courthouse, 54-3900 Akoni Pule Highway, Kapaʻau;

• Pāhoa Council Office, 15-2879 Pāhoa Village Road; and

• Lily Yoshimatsu Senior Center, 67-1199 Māmalahoa Highway, Waimea. If a courtesy site is unavailable and/or participation is disrupted, the scheduled meeting will continue.

Res. 486-24: AUTHORIZES THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO ENTER INTO NEGOTIATIONS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF LANDS OR A CONSERVATION EASEMENT FOR ALL OR A PORTION OF THE PROPERTY IDENTIFIED AS TAX MAP KEY: 7-1-003:010, ALSO KNOWN AS ‘ANAEHOʻOMALU KAPALAOA, SITUATED IN THE AHUPUAʻA OF PUʻUANAHULU, DISTRICT OF KONA, UTILIZING THE PUBLIC ACCESS, OPEN SPACE, AND NATURAL RESOURCES PRESERVATION FUND

The County seeks to acquire approximately 27.38 acres of land to protect and preserve cultural and natural resources and open certain areas of the property for education, gathering, and cultural practices.
