Hawaii County Youth Commission met June 12.

Here is the agenda provided by the commission:

1. CALL TO ORDER, QUORUM

Commissioners attending the meeting from private locations shall advise if any person is with them (except for the names of minors).

2. CHAIRPERSON ANNOUNCEMENTS

The chairperson will make statements regarding Zoom protocol and general civility for public meetings.

3. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC/PUBLIC TESTIMONY

Interested persons who want to provide oral testimony on any agenda item may do so now, or at the time the specific agenda item is called. Public testimony may be limited to three (3) minutes in length per agenda item.

4. APPROVAL OF THE MAY 8, 2024, REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

a. Reconsideration of Youth Commission Meeting Times (May through November)

i. Proposed meeting time for reconsideration, discussion, and approval is 5:00-7:00 p.m.

b. Selection of Adult Advisors to the Commission

i. Commission staff have posted the online application for adult advisors. The Commission may discuss and approve submitted applications at this meeting'.

1. Discussion and vote on Alanna Barber's application

ii. Executive Session: The Commission anticipates convening an executive meeting regarding the above matter, pursuant to Section 92-5(a)(4), HRS, for the purpose of consulting with the Commission's attorney on questions and issues pertaining to the Commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities. A 2/4 vote pursuant to Section 92-4, HRS, is necessary to hold an executive meeting.
