Census Bureau: 78.3 percent of people in Hawaii County were old enough to vote in 2019

Of the 199,459 citizens living in Hawaii County in 2019, 156,218 were old enough to vote as of Jan. 26, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 79,405 of those people were female and 76,813 were male.
