Daelenn Tokunaga earned her first PacWest Player of the Week award for women's soccer.

She was vital in her team's four wins on the road, wherein she delivered five goals, three of which were solo shots and two that were assisted. Three of the five goals were game-winning.

“Tokunaga was responsible for two of the Vulcans' three goals in their 3-2 win over Fresno Pacific,” according to The Official Athletics Site of Hawaii at Hilo. “Tokunaga scored the first goal of the game, and then the final 3-2 game-winner. That was Tokunaga's third time of the season scoring two goals in a game.”

The junior transfer leads the PacWest with 10 goals, six goals ahead of the closest runners-up. Half of her goals were game-winning, which earned her the top spot in the PacWest game-winning goal category.

She is second in the conference in shots with 15, according to the University of Hawaii Hilo Athletics website.

She has played in and started all four of UHH's official four spring matches, for a total of 301 minutes. Before UHH, the Vulcans’ forward played the 2018 and 2019 seasons for the University of Hawaii. Tokunaga was also a three-time Oahu Interscholastic Association West Player of the Year and a three-time Hawaii High School Athletic Association All-State selection.
