A women's volleyball player and a men's golfer declared Pepsi Athletes of the Week at University of Hawaii Hilo

The University of Hawaii at Hilo recently named women's volleyball player Tani Hoke and men's golfer Keith Ng the Pepsi Athletes of the Week.

According to the The Official Athletics Site of Hawaii at Hilo, Hoke contributed a major role in the Vulcans' two wins against Dominican University and Holy Names University, totaling 45 digs, 27 against Dominican and 18 against Holy Names. The libero (defensive specialist) for the Vulcans volleyball team previously played club volleyball for the Aloha State Volleyball Club and has been coached by former Temple University standout Gabby Matautia and UH Manoa All-American Kolby Kanetake. 

In April of this year, Hoke contribute as freshman libero, where she garnered 69 digs in four matches at the PacWest #3 Tournament and had 16 aces and 236 digs for the season.

A junior who spent the 2020-21 season at the University of British Columbia, Ng claimed the victory of the Hawaii Triangular, carding 2-under-par 142 and winning three of the four tournaments he competed in. Ng has the most tournament wins in school history for one season.

In October, Ng was named PacWest Co-Golfer of the Week. He is now tied with four other VulcansNick Mason, James Hall, Logan Goulding and Dalen Yamauchi.
