The University of Hawaii (UH) is currently accepting applications for the fall 2022 semester.
UH Mānoa said that it is taking a holistic approach in assessing applications in consideration of the current situation brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Our teams are ready to serve as a resource for prospective Mānoa students as they prepare their applications and transition from high school, or another college campus, to UH Mānoa,” Ryan Yamaguchi of the UH Mānoa Office of Admissions told Big Island Now. “These events (such as Explore Mānoa) are a great way to meet our future students and give them a chance to start their journey with any assistance they may need.”
Several events have been lined up, such as virtual Application Days, where interested students will be walked through the application process by admissions counselors. A tutorial application video is available for students who are unable to attend the events.
Neither SAT nor ACT scores are required for admission, Big Island Now reported. The priority application deadline for the fall 2022 semester is Wednesday, Jan. 5.
During the fall 2021 semester, UH Mānoa has recorded its largest enrollment increase since 2003. The university recorded a 6% enrollment growth, compared to the fall semester of 2020, according to Big Island Now.
