The University of Hawaii at Hilo Vulcans men’s basketball dominated the Biola University Eagles during its Jan. 10 game.

The Vulcans posted its highest lead of the game with an 18-point gap (67-49) at six minutes into the second half. The team ended the game at 97-89.

"Proud of how well our men played connected and aggressive today against a very good Biola team," Head Coach Kaniela Aiona told the Official Athletics Site of Hawaii at Hilo. "We shared the ball well offensively and played our game. Biola made a good run as expected, but our guys stayed poised, handled pressure and made free throws."

Darren Williams was the highest scorer of the game and was 8-for-14 in the field, 3-for-6 behind the arc and 9-for-10 at the charity stripe. He also delivered five assists and five rebounds, three of which were offensive.

The team shot over 50% in the field, 92% at the free throw line and 46% behind the arc, the Official Athletics Site of Hawaii at Hilo reported.

UH Hilo currently ranks 9-4 overall and 5-1 in the Pacific West Conference after its most recent game against the Academy of Art, which the Vulcans won 75-72. Tonight at 7:30 p.m., the Vulcans will take on Dominican University of California.
