NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following matters to be considered by the Youth Commission of the County of Hawai'i in accordance with the provisions of sections 92-3.7 and 92-7, Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes (HRS) and Hawai'i County Charter, Section 5-3.1. through Section 5-3.4.

NOTICE REGARDING INTERACTIVE CONFERENCE TECHNOLOGY (ICT): Youth Commission Members and members of the public may participate in this meeting via the Zoom interactive video conference platform. A meeting held by interactive conference technology shall be automatically recessed for up to thirty (30) minutes to restore communication when audiovisual communication cannot be maintained with all members participating in the meeting or with the "in- person" location identified in this agenda. The meeting may reconvene when either audiovisual communication is restored, or audio-only communication is established after an unsuccessful attempt to restore audiovisual communication. If it is not possible to reconvene the meeting as provided in this section within thirty (30) minutes after an interruption to communication, the meeting shall be automatically terminated.

a. 10-Minute presentation via Zoom by Hawai'i for Palestine about its entity and spreading awareness of the conflict in Palestine
b. Discussion on possible creation of an official logo for the County of Hawai'i Youth Commission
c. Discussion on creating a survey to issue to all Hawai'i public middle and high schools about their engagement in their communities and interests in local politics
d. Proposed agenda topics and speakers for next meeting.

a. Next Youth Commission meeting is February 14, 2024.
b. Any other announcements, including events of interest for Youth Commissioners.

Submitting Written or Oral Testimony: . Pursuant to § 92-3, HRS, interested persons who want to provide oral testimony may do so either at the time the committee takes public statements on the agenda, or at the time the specific agenda item is called. Please note that public testimony may be limited to three (3) minutes in length per agenda item. Those wishing to testify in person should register with the Commission Secretary at the in-person location at the meeting. Those submitting written testimony at the meeting should bring 16 copies for distribution. Notice to Lobbyists: If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawai'i County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist (Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawaiʻi County Code). A lobbyist means "any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials." (Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a) (6), Hawai'i County Code) Registration forms and expenditure report documents are available at the Office of the County Clerk, 25 Aupuni St., Room 1402, Hilo.
