Hawai’i Island police are seeking the public's help in locating 12-year-old Kepene Burrows, reported as a runaway on March 28, 2024. According to the authorities, due to his age, he is considered an endangered missing child.
Burrows was last seen in the area of Hilolani Drive in Pāhoa on March 26, around 8:00 a.m. wearing a t-shirt, unknown colored shorts, and white crocs. Described as Polynesian with a thin build, standing at about 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 90 pounds, he has short brown hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo of his initials on the top of one of his hands.
In a plea for assistance, the police department asks anyone with information on Burrows' whereabouts to contact the non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
The search for Kepene Burrows continues as the police urge the community to come forward with any information that could help locate the missing child.
