Gov. Green extends registration deadline for One 'Ohana Fund

Governor Green has announced a second deadline extension for the One ‘Ohana Fund, allowing more time for individuals to register for compensation. Registration applications can be submitted online at www.mauicompensationfund.com, which also provides answers to frequently asked questions and additional information.

The One ‘Ohana Fund has garnered significant contributions from various entities: Hawaiian Electric Co. ($75M), the state of Hawai‘i ($65M), Kamehameha Schools ($17.5M), Maui County ($10M), Charter/Spectrum ($2.5M), Hawaiian Telcom ($2.5M), and West Maui Land Co. ($2.5M). Additional contributors are expected to join in support of future phases of the One ‘Ohana Initiative.

This initiative encompasses numerous recovery programs launched by the state to benefit Hawai‘i residents, including the $100 million Maui Relief TANF Program, an updated siren policy by the Hawai‘i Emergency Management Agency, and Hawaiian Electric’s wildfire safety strategy.
