DOH monitors Upper Kula brushfire for air quality and mental health impacts

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health (DOH) is actively monitoring the air quality and behavioral health impacts resulting from the recent brushfire in Upper Kula. In response to potential mental health triggers, Hawaiʻi CARES has made its 988 crisis line available around the clock for those needing support.

Individuals can access mental health services by calling or texting 988, or by dialing 1-800-753-6879 or 808-832-3100. Additionally, behavioral health services are offered at two locations on Maui:
