The monthly test of Hawaii's Statewide Outdoor Warning Siren System is set for November 1, 2024, at 11:45 a.m. This test will be conducted alongside the Live Audio Broadcast segment of the Emergency Alert System. The sirens will emit a one-minute Attention Alert Signal, a steady tone. There will be no accompanying exercise or drill.

The Outdoor Siren Warning System is part of Hawaii's broader Statewide Alert and Warning System designed to inform the public during emergencies. In real emergency situations, individuals should heed instructions from official government channels, such as local radio or television broadcasts and Wireless Emergency Alerts.

Wireless Emergency Alerts provide sound-and-text warnings to compatible mobile phones. Both the Emergency Alert System and Wireless Emergency Alerts are disseminated through the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System managed by FEMA.

Information on emergency management and disaster preparedness can be found in telephone directories or online at ready.hawaii.gov. For updates from the Hawai‘i Emergency Management Agency (HI-EMA) or to register for county alerts, residents can visit their website.
